Migration and Alteration of Population in Hebei in the Eastern Han Dynasty

Compared with the Western Han Dynasty,there was a decline in population density in Hebei in the Eastern Han Dynasty except for some particular areas.Course changes of the Yellow river had caused an important effect on population for four principalities: Weijun,Qinhe,Xindu and Bohai.In the Eastern Han Dynasty,the population of Han nationality had been decreasing,migrating and merging with northern nationalities.In the early Eastern Han Dynasty,alteration of population in Hebei referred to migration of Frontier population and immigration of Wuhuan and Southern Hun.In the middle and late Eastern Han Dynasty,refugees made up of migration of population in Hebei.In the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty,frequent wars caused a sharp decline of population for northern Han nationality and monorities in Hebei.
