Abstract
WTO Doha Round Negotiation on Agriculture, with all the twists and turns, have failed to complete the expected tasks. The issues about further opening markets for agricultural products and special products are not resolved on time as expected, and the promise that developed countries will cancel subsidies for agricultural products may have an adverse impact on food security of developing counties although some topics listed on the agenda such as cancellation of export subsidies in developed countries, establishment of the special safeguard mechanism, and the food aids given to the countries short of food are conducive to tackling the food crisis of developing countries. Therefore, more attention should be paid to food security of developing countries and the effect of relevant agreements that have been reached in negotiations in future Doha Round agriculture negotiation. What is more, coordinated food security protection mechanism for developing countries should be created and the scope of food issue should be expanded so that the food security of developing countries can be resolved.
