Research on the Training of Rural Doctors under the New Rural Cooperative Medical Care System——A Case Study of H Province

The establishment of new rural cooperative medical care system is a significant measure to develop the rural medical cause,solve issues concerning people's livelihood,improve the farmer's health condition and coordinate the economic and social development of urban and rural areas.The rural doctor,as an important part of rural medical care staff,directly providing preventive health care and the basic medical care service for the farmer,is the foundation of our country's three-level rural medical health care network.The professional standard of rural doctors is not only connected with the farmer's life and health but also exerts influence on the sound and sustainable development of cooperative medical care system.This paper,based upon a historical review of the education and training of rural doctors,proposes some countermeasures of improving the education and training of rural doctors,such as,their role should be re-defined;the government responsibility should be strengthened and the certified system of them should be established.
