Narrative Psychotherapy: a Post-modern Concept and Method——Its Comparison with Traditional Psychotherapy

Narrative therapy is a newly emerged post-modern psychotherapy method.This paper elaborates the internal agent of the formation and development of narrative therapy according to two aspects: the theory and practice of psychological consultation,and the development of the post-modern thinking.The main features and application value of narrative therapy are studied according to the comparison between narrative therapy and traditional psychotherapy.Finally the development trend of narrative therapy is proposed.
