The Expression and Clinical Significance of ERCC1 in Colorectal Cancer

Objective We investigate the expression of ERCC1 in the patient with colorectal cancer and its clinical prognostic significance.Methods Expression levels of ERCC1 in 59 patients with colorectal cancer were detected with the method of immunohistochemistry.Expression differences of ERCC1 and its relationship with the patients'survival were analyzed with χ2 text,Kaplan-Meier survival curve and Log-rank text.Results The positive expression of ERCC1 in 59 patients with colorectal cancer were 28.8%(17/59).Expression differences of ERCC1 didn't correlated with sex,degree of invasion,part,lymph nodes metastasis or disease stage.Expression rats of ERCC1 in the patient under the age of 60 were 44.0%,and were significantly higher than that in those over the age of 60(17.6%,P0.05).The four-year existence rats in patients with the negative expression of ERCC1 were 54.8%,and were not significantly higher than that in those with the positive expression of ERCC1(23.5%,P0.05).Conclusion Expression differences of ERCC1 didn't correlated with sex,degree of invasion,part,lymph nodes metastasis or disease stage,ERCC1 didn't correlated with the harmful biological action.The result of the patients accepted platinum with the positive expression of ERCC1 may be bad.
