Abstract
Taking L402 as the test material, the effect of soil water content on tomato growth, yield and quality was studied. The result indicated that the plant height, stem diameter and the fresh weight of organs of tomato growing in 80% soil water were higher, but the fruit setting rate lower than that of tomato growing in 50% soil water, and PCPA could enhance the fruit setting rate and yield of tomato growing in 80% and 65% soil water significantly, but having no effect on tomato growing in 50% soil water. The yield of tomato dealt with 80%, 65% soil water treatment was higher by 35. 31%, 27. 73% than that of 50% respectively, moreover by 70. 76% and 38. 98% after dealing with PCPA, respectively.
