Abstract

To evaluate the application safety of atrazine, the final residue and degradation dynamic of atrazine in corn and soil were investigated and the samples were analyzed by GC in Jinan and Jiaozuo from 2009 to 2010.The degradation of atrazine in corn plants and soil meeted the first-order kinetic equation, and the half-lives of atrazine were 3.6-4.2 d and 6.5-12.9 d,respectively. The rates of degradation in soil in Jiaozuo were slower than those in Jinan, which probably related to the microorganisms in soil. The results showed that the residues of atrazine in corn plants, corn seeds and soil were lower than the MRL of 0.05 mg/kg.The study provided scientific basis for setting up the guidance of safe application and risk assessment.
