Abstract

The experiment was conducted to study drought tolerance of six varieties of Kentucky bluegrass by measuring of the relative water content(RWC)of leaf, chlorophyll(chl)content, malondialdehyde(MDA)content, proline(Pro)accumulation, peroxidase(POD)content and soluble protein content. The results showed that the relative water content(RWC)of leaf and chlorophyll content decreased,MDA content,Pro accumulation,POD content and soluble protein content were increased with the stress time extension. The order of drought-resistant ability of six varieties was BlacksburgNugladeMoonshineMidnight ⅡAwardRugbyⅡ accroding a comprehensive analysis of subordinate function.
