Abstract
The measurement of the moment of inertia for rigid body is an important experiment in college physics courses. The fitting line method within Origin 7.5 is introduced taking this experiment course as an example. In teaching process it is found that the students obtain the value of the moment of inertia for rigid body quickly. Thus we recommend teachers to deal with the experimental data in teaching by using the software.
