Abstract

OBJECTIVE To study the chemical constituents in the flowers of Ligustrum lucium Ait.METHODS Compounds were isolated and purified with silica gel and Pharmadex LH-20 column.Their structures were determined using spectroscopic analysis including MS and NMR.RESULTS 12 compounds were isolated and identified as follows: β-sitosterol(Ⅰ),daucosterol(Ⅱ),asergosta-7,22-dien-3β,5α,6β-triol(Ⅲ),naringenin(Ⅳ),luteolin(Ⅴ),apigenin(Ⅵ),quercetin(Ⅶ),apigenin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(VIII),luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(Ⅸ),kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(Ⅹ),quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(Ⅺ)and rutin(Ⅻ).CONCLUSION Compounds Ⅰ-Ⅵ,Ⅹ and Ⅺ were isolated from the flowers of Ligustrum lucium Ait.for the first time, and compounds Ⅲ,Ⅳ and Ⅴ were isolated from this plant for the first time.
