Effects of Photosynthesis Bacteria on Cypermethrin Degradation

Abstract

To study the effect and mechanism of cypermethrin degradation by photosynthesis bacteria(PSB),gas chromatography was used to determine the degradation of cypermethrin by PSB.The results showed that the cypermethrin was quickly degraded by PSB,and degradation rate was 62.1%,83.4%,91.8% after 8 h,18 h,36 h respectively,while initial concentration of cypermethrin was 0.1 μg/mL,and cypermethrin in environment was accumulated into PSB in vivo rapidly,and the cypermethrin concentration of photosynthesis bacteria in vivo was highest with 0.062μg/mL after 10 h.With the metabolism of PSB,cypermethrin concentration decreased rapidly,and its concentration reached 0.017μg/mL after 30 h.Cypermethrin was completely degraded by PSB after 120 h.In conclusion,PSB can degrade cypermethrin rapidly by its metabolism.
