Abstract

[Objective] The aim of the research was to investigate cockroaches' density in hotel and observe the efficacy of compound high-effect gel bait against cockroaches.[Methods] Adhesive killing method was used to investigate cockroaches' density.The killing effect was assessed by observing the density change of cockroaches before and after the adhesive bait application.[Results] The cockroaches were all Blattella germanica and the main encroached places were kitchens.The time of cockroaches finding the gel bait,appearing poison symptom and killing was 1.25 minutes,6.5minutes and 19.5 minutes after using the gel bait,respectively.Eight days after using the gel bait,the mortality rate of cockroach was above 80%,and 60 days later,the mortality rate of cockroach was above 90%.[Conclusion] The compound high-effect gel bait against cockroaches that was convenient and safe for use.had remarkable effect on killing cockroaches at one time of the application,which was worth popularized.
