Abstract

Marx and Engels's thought of people's sovereign right is the core of the thought of democratic revolution and the thought was formed and ripe gradually on the basis of criticizing and sublating western bourgeois politician especially Luso's thought of people's sovereign right. It serves different revolutionary struggles in different historical stages. The core of the thought is that people are the master of the country, and the people should master the state power. For Marx and Engels. there's no people's democracy without proletarian political dictatorship and vice versa. Their thought has significant meaning for our today's developing socialist democratic politics and building socialist political civilization.
