Abstract

Distribution of understory herbaceous vegetation in over mature China fir afforestation in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park has been analyzed,The results show that the variety and the number of understory herbaceous species are rich,with the severity of fir aging,understory herbaceous species in shade are reducing,but sunny side is in an increasing trend;the downhill environment is more suitable for vegetation and plant growth.Analysis results of forest herbaceous important value index show that Pteris semipinnata has the highest important value in a dominant position.
