A Study on Measures of Energy Development in Sichuan Province Under the Constraints of Carbon Emission Reduction

Since the financial crisis in 2008,the economic mode of low-carbon economy has been accepted by many countries and regions,which requires CO2 emission reduction by improving energy efficiency and by developing and utilizing new energy.And this mode has become the focus of economic development in the world.Under the background of carbon emission reduction,we analyze the overall carbon emissions in Sichuan Province,as well as the opportunities and challenges.Based on the analysis,we put forward proposals which focus on the development of energy in Sichuan Province.We think hydropower and natural gas industry should be actively developed,and new energy should also be developed in the light of local conditions.Besides,low energy economy will develop better with more financial investment and greater tax deduction,and a combination of carbon emission reduction policy innovation and legal system construction will also contribute remarkably to low energy development.
