Abstract
Portable high-frequency vibrator(PHV), a compact VIBROSEIS, had shown some advantages over traditional VIBROSEIS. However, another problem, the de-coupling between PHV and the earth appeared because the weight of PHV is not far great than the output force of the system. In this paper through physical modeling, the condition of good coupling is discussed, which will direct the practice so as to avoid de-coupling and to transmit force to the earth efficiently.
