Abstract
Objective To investigate the adsorption of nitroglycerin in 5% glucose solution by transparent and black opaque transfusion tubes. Then discuss the effect of light on the adsorption of nitroglycerin.Method By means of imitating clinic mainline, the concentrations of nitroglycerin in the course of injection were analysed by HPLC.Result Comparison the concentration after 8 hours with the concentration of 0 hour, nitroglycerin is adsorbed about 65 in transparent PVC transfusion tubes and it is adsorbed about 58% in black PVC transfusion tubes. Conclusion Light affect the adsorption of nitroglycerin in PVC transfusion tubes.Opaque transfusion tubes is the best choice in clinic because of its lower adsorption.Otherwise, increasing the dose should be considered.
