Abstract

[Objective]To study the effect of early exercise on mammary tumor induced by 7,12 dimethylben(a)anthracene(DMBA)in rat.[Methods]Sprague Dawley rats at the age of 4 weeks were randomly divided into 2 groups:control group and exercise group. Rats in exercise group were treated with exercise for 6 weeks, and each rat was given DMBA 10mg/100g. The duration without tumor, and incidence and number of tumor in rats were observed after injection.[Results]The tumor-free time of mammary tumors in exercise group was significantly longer than that in control group, and incidence and number of mammary tumors in exercise group were significantly lower than those in control group. The serum E2 levels of exercise group were significantly lower when compared with control group, and P levels were not significantly different in the two groups.[Conclusion]Early exercise can inhibit the development of DMBA-induced mammary tumors by decreasing the level of E2 in serum.
