Prevention and management of early complications following trabeculectomy for glaucoma

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the treatment and prevention of early complications following trabeculectomy for treatment of glaucoma.Methods:One hundred and ninty-five patients(204 eyes) underwent trabeculectomy or complex trabeculectomy.Early postoperative complications were observed and dealt with accordingly.Results:Early complications occurred in 64 eyes(31.4%),and flat anterior chamber was the most common.Conclusions:Prevention and timely intervene of early complications following trabeculectomy are essential in obtaining satisfactory effect on glaucoma.
