Abstract

The 6-year-old trees of Hongyan sweet cherry cultivar was used as material for studying the contents of total nitrogen, amino acid, soluble protein and the activities of GPT, GS, nitrate reductase in greenhouse and in field in autumn. The results indicated that the quantity of nitrogen transporting from leaf to branch in solar greenhouse was less than that in field. The content of soluble protein in long shoot bark and short shoot in greenhouse decreased, but it increased a lot in long shoot xylem. The content of soluble protein in leaves maintained in high level. The variable tendency of amino acid in branches was more complex and no regularity, but the tendency of amino acid content in leaves had increasing tendency. The activity of glutamate-pyruvate transaminase, glutamine synthetase, nitrate reductase in leaves didn't decrease sharply, and sometimes they were increased. This suggests that nitrogen metabolism takes place in all autumn and doesn't weaken with the senescence of leaf.
