Abstract

The concern about the living state of human beings and the eulogy on the sense of liberty are the characteristic embodiment of life consciousness of the May 4th as well as the popular theme expressed in the May 4th literary works.The bold revolting spirit,firm belief in independence and spontaneous kindheartedness of the character Chuntao in Xu Dishan's Chuntao is just a vivid show of this theme.In addition,through a further understanding of this works we can also be fully aware of Xu Dishan's unique views on womens' liberation.
