Comparison and Merging of National Spirit——Orientation of the Chinese National Spirit

Comparative study of national spirit is an important means to enhance national consciousness and strengthen national spirit.In doing so,we should trespass the city-besieging phenomenon in cultural communication and step out from the erroneous areas in comparative studies.Only in this way can we have a scientific and reasonable perspective and measure of study.This paper makes a comparative study of the national spirit of the U.K.,the USA,Russia and China from their origins,the relationship between national spirit and its sovereignty,the national living bases,the fundamental connotations and value combinations.It holds that we should be open-minded and further the communication and merging of different national spirits.
