Geological Characteristics of the Dawuwan Copper Deposit in Henan Province

Dawuwan copper deposit is located at molybdenum-copper metallogenic belt in the northern slope of Dabieshan,and situated at the inner flank of Qianjin arc structural summit in Qianjing town of Xin County,which belongs to Paleoproterozoic Xuwan formation of Sujiahe group.To its east is Dawuwan granite porphyry with high-silicon and alkali calc-alkaline series.Mineralized belt of Dawuwan copper deposit is relatively larger,and its surface deposit is consisted of copper mineralization.There is a blind orebody in the surveyed Yinfeng cave.Preliminary mineral assessment results show that its reserves can reach small scale deposit.Base on the deposit characteristics,the origin is discussed as a porphyry type copper deposit,and the metallogenic prospect is analyzed.This paper suggest that west and east parts of copper orebody can be regarded as the important target regions,where find middle to large scales copper deposit.
