Abstract
The selectivity and identification of K2,PPA,MBA and PSA media for Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.cubense race 4 were compared. The results showed that K2 media allowed the development of F.oxysporum f.sp.cubense race 4 and formed the laciniated colonies, whereas contaminants were greatly suppressed. The strain, isolated on K2 media from natural soil, was identified as F.oxysporum f.sp.cubense race 4 by pathogenicity test. Therefore, the media is a potent differential media for isolation of F.oxysporum f.sp.cubense race 4,which is convenient for detecting F.oxysporum f.sp.cubense race 4 from soil, seedling and host tissue.
