Abstract

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of improved single hair follicle isolation method in treatment of hair deficiency. Methods:Sixteen patients with eyebrow rarefaction and 9 patients with perineal hair deficiency were treated with hair transplantation using improved single hair follicle isolation method.Single hair follicle was isolated and 150~200 hair follicles were transplanted in eyebrow and 500~600 for the perineal region. Results:After 3-12 months followed-up,there was a transplant survival rate of 90%~95%,with natural appearance and small scars. Conclusion:Compared to traditional method, isolation and collection of the complete hair follicles improves hair usage in donor-site.
