Diagnostic Value of Hysteroscopy on 223 Patients Suffered with Postmenopausal Bleeding

Abstract

Objective: To study the cause and the diagnostic value of the hysteroscopy for women with postmenopausal bleeding.Methods: Analyzing the hysteroscopy results of 223 patients with postmenopausal bleeding,comparing them with the pathologic result.Results:The causes of postmenopausal bleeding diagnosed by pathology were mainly benign pathology of endometrium(83.4%),next was malignancy(12.6%),IUD account for 3.1%.The menopause year was associated with the malignant tumor.The diagnostic rate of hysteroscopy accorded with pathological examination was 87.0%.Conclusions:Curettage assisted by hysteroscopy can definite the reason of postmenopausal bleeding and increase the positive results.
