Clinical observation on the effect of Tangwangming decoction on 35 cases with simple type diabetic retinopathy

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Tangwangming decoction on the patients of simple type diabetic retinopathy.Methods 60 cases with diabetic retinopathy were divided into 2 groups randomly.The treatment group was treated by Tangwangming decoction,150 mL each time after meals per os,3 times a day.The control group was treated by Pancreatic Kininogenase Enteric-coated Tablet,1 pill each time per os,3 times a day.The treatment course for both groups was 10 weeks,during which routine medicines might be chosen to reduce blood sugar and pressure according to the state of the illness.After one treatment course,the clinical effects were observed as well as the total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),whole blood viscosity at high rate and fibrinogen.Results The total effective rate was 88.57% in treatment group and 68.00% in control group.There was a significant difference between two groups(P0.05).There was a significant difference in treatment group of those figures observed above before and after the treatment(P0.05) as well as those between control group and treatment group(P0.05).Conclusion There is an obvious therapeutic effects of Tangwangming decoction on the simple type diabetic retinopathy and it can also ameliorate the conditions of TG,TC,whole blood viscosity at high rate and fibrinogen.
