Clinical effect of limited incision locking plate internal fixation in treatment of tibia Pilon fractures

Objective To explore the effect of limited incision locking plate internal fixation in the treatment of tibia Pilon fractures. Methods 50 cases of patients with tibia Pilon fractures in our hospital from January 2011 to January2013 were selected,all patients were given with limited open reduction and internal fixation,and were randomly divided into observation group and control group,25 cases in each group.Locking plate fixation was given to the observation group,anatomical plate fixation was given to the control group,clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups.Results The fracture healing time in the observation group was shorter than that of the control group [(12.6±3.4) weeks vs(19.7±3.6) weeks],the incidence of complications was lower than that of the control group(8.0% vs 24.0%),excellent treatment was higher than that of the control group(88.0% vs 68.0%),and the differences were significant(P0.05).Conclusion The effect of limited incision locking plate internal fixation in treatment of tibia Pilon fractures is significant,be worthy of promotion.
