Abstract
Excavation and support of deep foundation pit engineering is one of pop and difficult problems in rock soil engineering. How to effectively control deformation of foundation pits and make foundation pit engineering safe and economical is the task that people always probe. On the ground of deep foundation pit retaining structure engineering in a station on Suzhou Metro Line 2,the numerical simulation by means of elastoplastic finite element program PLAXIS was carried out for the process of excavation and supporting. The factors of design, construction and natural environment on effect of the deformation of timbering structures were studied, including the depth of excavation, the rigidity of timbering structures, the rigidity of braces and parameters of soil mass etc. Some methods and advices were proposed to control the deformation of foundation pits, which can offer some references for the design and construction of deep foundation pit engineering.
