Abstract
River is the source of life and also an important natural landscape element of city.In this paper the natural conditions and landscape characteristics of riverside city center district are expounded,and through the practical analysis of Nanjing Pukou Central Area,the theories of space design,environmental art,landscape vision and landscape architecture are tried and used in the overall framework of urban design.With the experience of waterfront space development,the integrated mountain,city and riverside landscape,the crossing river landscape of new and old town visual corridors,and riverside landscape shaping of new town sketch horizon line in riverside urban planning and design are explored in order to examine the issues such as the structural landscape framework adjustment in the crossing river development of cities.
