Abstract
According to the Bernstein basis functions and coefficients, this paper gave a method to select the weights in order to make rational Bezier curves closer to the control polygon conditions. The method retained all the properties of weights of rational Bezier curves. Some numerical examples were given to illustrate its advantages in the shape control compared with other methods, and proved the result in theory.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
