On GuangYiJi’s Folk Literature Characteristics

GuangYiJi wrote down and kept a great many folk literary works, revealing obvious folk literature characteristics. We could understand the characteristics from three aspects. Firstly, GuangYiJi was influenced deeply by the tradition of folk literature collection and classification, and socio-cultural lives with distinctive time feature were the inexhaustible source of folk stories for it; secondly, GuangYiJi had distinct folk literature characteristics in the method of information collection; thirdly, this book definitely kept a large number of ancient mythology, legends and stories in the Tang Dynasty, which is the ancient history of our country and important document of the folk literature.
