Abstract
Objective To investigate the sleep behavior and physiological characteristics of sleep in patients with functional dyspepsia(FD).Methods The Pittsburgh sleep quality index number questionnaire(PSQI),polysomnography(PSG)and the Han airtight suppress quantity form(HAMD)were taken for valuation of sleep in 47 patients with FD,and in 23 persons form health check-up as the control. Results The PSQI scores of sleep quality, onset latency, time, efficiency and obstacle, hypnotiic usage, daytime function, and PSQI total score of patients with FD were all statistically different form those of the controls(P0.05).In the items of sleep parameter in PSG,between the two groups there were significant differences in total sleep time,rapid-eye-movement(REM)onset latency and sleep time, sleep incubation period, total waking time, sleep efficiency, and percentage of stage Ⅰ non-REM(S1)and percentage of stage Ⅲ and Ⅳ non-REM(S3+S4)(P0.05).There were significant differences between the control group and the three groups of mild, moderate and serious FN patients in PSQI total score and HAMD total score(P0.05).There were also significant differences in PSQI total score and HAMD total score between the group of serious FM patients and the groups of mild and moderate FM patients(P0.05).Conclusion The sleep quality of the patients with FM is obviously lower and their sleep physiology structure is abnormal. The two changes have certain relativity with the FD symptom integral calculus and the degree of depression.
