Abstract
The effects of bumble bee pollination, hormone treatment of dipping flower and natural pollination on yield and fruit qualities of tomatoes in greenhouses were studied. The results showed that bumble bee-pollinated tomatoes had the largest fruit yield and the best fruit qualities of the three treatments.Mean fruit weight and vitamin C content for bumble bee pollination were 26.84% and 14.60% higher than those for hormone treatment respectively.Mean fruit weight and vitamin C content for bumble bee pollination were 29.27% and 29.46% higher than those for natural pollination respectively. The catface rate of fruit and organic acid content for bumble bee pollination were 74.35% and 22% lower than those for hormone treatment respectively. The catface rate of fruit and organic acid content for bumble bee pollination were 52.00% and 15% lower than those for natural pollination respectively.
