Studies on the technique of physical treatment on germination of Zoysia japonica

Abstract

Effects of different treatments on germination improvement of Zoysia japonica seeds were studied. The results showed that all treatments could effectively break the dormancy of Zoysia japonica seeds and enhance the speed of turf establishment.The treatment that the seed coat was broken after roasting at 75 ℃ for 20 min, 30 min and was treated by electric blanket(28～30 ℃) was the best.
