The Gray Cluster Theory Method in Evaluation of Traffic Safety Based on Traffic Conflict Technique at Signal Intersection

Abstract

The traffic conflict technique is new evaluating method based On no-accident statistics in traffic safety field.It evaluates rapidly and quantitatively situation traffic safety with multi-stylebook which is different from traditional accident statistical evaluation.The paper proposes an evaluating method of traffic conflict based On gray cluster theory by means of regarding TC/MPCU as assessment index.Then we validate the method with five similar intersections′TC/MPCU.
