Abstract
Sulfide layers with a certain thickness on the surface of the Cr12MoV steel nitrided samples were formed by S C N plasma sulphonitrocarburizing. The friction coefficient and wear resistance of the sulfured layer were tested on MM200 friction and wear tester and the wear appearance of the sulfured and nitriding sample was investigated with SEM.As the results, the S C N plasma sulphonitrocarburizing can improve wear resistance and sharply reduced friction coefficient of the Cr12MoV steel.
