Abstract
Embedding RTOS into Micro Controller Unit (MCU) system is a direction of the development of RTOS in the future. This paper discusses the history, market and development of RTOS and analyses the applied status,technical advantagement and developing prospect of μC/OS-Ⅱ which is a real time operating system (RTOS) with open source code. In this paper the application of μC/OS-Ⅱ to MCU system such as 51 series are outlined, this paper also elaborates deeply some merits, disadvantages and problems should be paid attention when using μC/OS-Ⅱ in application system. In the end, some suggestions and prospects of μC/OS-Ⅱ to MCU system are given.
