Abstract

Plackett-Burman design and response surface analysis were used to optimize the fermentation medium of Bacillus subtilis B908.Based on the results of Plackett-Burman design, important factors affecting the yield of Bacillus subtilis B908 were corn flour, bean flour and CaCO_3.Then,the three factors were further optimized using response surface analysis. The optimized fermentation medium allowed the production to be increased from 6.6×10~9spores ml~(-1) to 1.18×10~(10)spores ml~(-1).
