Abstract
The heroes in the Romance drama of the Yuan Dynasty were almost all literati,who were educated and learned after reading many kinds of poetry and books.They,regardless of the class bias,boldly pursued their true love.When their love encountered hindrance,they still persisted in love,and never shifted one's love to another even after they achieved success and won fame,which were their active elements.However,they also had their negative aspects,that is,their struggle,being not fierce and complete,easily surrendered before the oppressing forces.Their passiveness reflected to a certain extent their living situation and pursuit of ideal of the literati of the Yuan Dynasty.
