Ecological Civilization Calls for Postmodern Thinking

Modern mode of thinking is not qualified to conduct the important task of creating an ecological civilization due to its crucial drawbacks such as its uniformity thinking, binary thinking, mechanical thinking and fragmental thinking. Therefore a postmodern thinking characteristic of organic thinking, process thinking, harmonious thinking and plural thinking is badly needed in order to create an ecological civilization. Such a postmodern thinking, in essence, has affinities with Chinese tradition. Therefore it will flourish on the land of China.
