Abstract
As the spillway of JATIGEDE clay core rockfill dam built on the granular,and sidewalls connected with the clay core directly,so the response characteristics of the dam and the contact surface between dam and spillway would affect the dam's safe operation under seismic load.Based on the static finite element analysis of E-B model,this paper studies the dynamic response of JATIGEDE clay core rockfill dam by using nonlinear dynamic finite element principle.And then the dynamic stress,displacement of the dam and the stability characteristics of the contact surface under the earthquake have been researched.The results show that under the earthquake conditions,the overall dam's response is weak while the response at the top of the dam is strong.Thus,certain measures should be taken to guarantee the stability of the dam.
