Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment Experience of Chloasma

Objective:To summarize syndrome differentiation and treatment experience of chloasma in clinic.Methods:Discuss etiopathogenisis,pathogenesis,pattern of syndrome,method of treatment,formulas and medicines based on medical records.Results:Etiopathogenisis and pathogenesis of chloasma include stagnation of Qi due to depression of the liver result in facial surface Qi-blood disharmony;liver and kidney deficiency result in facial surface not be nourished;dys-splenism,humid heat fumigating to face;qi-stagnancy and blood stasis result in facial surface be nourished.Main etiopathogenisis is stagnation of liver and blood stasis.Treatment principles of chloasma are to disperse the depressed liver-energy to clear gloomy,invigorate the spleen and tonify kidney and activate blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis.Modified Xiaoyao Powder is commonly used.Conclusion:Syndrome differentiation and treatment shows a better therapeutic effect for chloasma.
