Abstract
Based on the monthly data of SST of the Indian Ocean and the rainfall data from National Climate Center, the relationship of rainfall in China and differences of SST of western and southeastern India Ocean is analyzed by singularity value decompose(SVD) method. The distribution of the singularity vectors and the coupling cycles are obtained. It is found that the distribution and the intensity of rainfall in China is greatly affected by the distribution of SST of the India Ocean, and the effect is different in different seasons, according to the analysis of the first mode.
