Abstract

Luichow-ancestor Culture,a special culture on the Luichow Peninsula, is an umbralla term for the cultural activities and phenomena associated with the Luichow-ancestor, Mr. Chen Wen-yu, including his life stories as well as sacrificial ceremonies, customs and literature arts in relation to him. This culture is characterized by instructiveness to folk-customs, focus on farming and experienceability. In-depth research of the Luichow-ancestor Culture is of great theoretical and practical significance for promoting regional economic and cultural construction.
