The spirit of Reviving Humanism is the power source for the continual development and enhancement of Tsinghua University.The spirits of cultural inheritance,reform and innovation,and striving for first place are the spiritual essence of Reviving Humanism.The exploration of Reviving Humanism has great significance for China's contemporary higher education,esp.in innovation and development.So Reviving Humanism should become the core idea of innovation and development of China's contemporary higher education as the important function,developmental route and key point of higher education.The colleges and universities should carry forward humanism spirit,elevate moral sentiments self consciously and advance the ability of innovation.Because only in this way can the colleges and universities fulfill their four main functions—personal training,scientific research,serving the society and leading the innovation of culture.
