Abstract

money Iaundering means the process of concealing the illegal source of the criminal income through a series of trades, then making it seem like the legal income. Traditional money laundering is done mainly by smuggling currency, utilizing financial institutions and non-bank financial institutions. With the advent of high-Tech tools such as electronic money (e-money),money laundering has turned to fictitious space from real world, that is to say, utilizing e-money makes transferring criminal income to any corner of world much easier. And the electronic money laundering becomes more concealed criminal means. Since criminal activity of money laundering has great harmfulness, we must take effectively precautionary and punitive measures. The key of standardizing the operation of e-money is how to stipulate the checkable and anonymous degree of e-money, which is also the core of attacking and preventing the criminal activity of Hi-Tech money laundering.
