Abstract

Though Li Mengyang and Wang Yangming are both the pioneers in new ideas of rationalistic confucianism in the middle of Ming Dynasty,they are quite different in idealogical directions.Wang Yangming has brought Buddhism and Taoism into confucianism and directly inherited Mencius'philosophy and establishes his philosophy of the mind,while Li Mengyang has strived for pure confucanism by repelling and attacking all other schools of thoughts.Their philosophies derive from the same source but develop in differentl tendencies derive from the same sourle but develop in different tendencies.
