Abstract
Myxobacteria is the higher microbe in Prokaryote which endows a gliding ability and exhibits a complicate muticellular development life similar to Eukaryote. The reaseach of the process of muticelluar development is always the focus point in myxobacteria.Recently, emergence of more and more new theorys on muticellular life of myxobacter enlightens us deeply. This paper provides an overview of motility type, the mechanism of the gliding motilily and the motility regulation systems in model strain Myxococcus xanthus.Futhurmore,we make a initial elucidation for the regulation of the signal transmission in the process of the fruiting body fomation so as to lay a foundations for the deeper research of the regulation process in their complicate development life.
