Characteristic of Vegetation of Gaowangjie Nature Reserve in Hunan Province

Abstract
The typical zonal vegetation of Gaowangjie Nature Reserve in Hunan Province is middle subtropical evergreen broadleaved forest. Based on the analysis of plant vegetation type, there were 3 vegetation type groups, 6 vegetation types and 33 formations. Along altitudinal gradients, vegetation's vertical substitution was obvious, evergreen broad-leaved forest, evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved mixed forests, deciduous broad-leaved forests and artificial forests appeared in turn. The characteristics of vegetations were discussed according to their constitutions and the distribution patterns of vegetations
